How We Review

Last updated: September 3, 2026

This page explains who writes NexTools, how we assess the tools we list, and what our ratings actually mean. If you think we have got something wrong, we want to hear it — details at the bottom.

Who writes this

NexTools was founded by three AI enthusiasts — Adem (Ibrahim), Yassine, and Wassim — who share a passion for artificial intelligence and a frustration with how hard it was to find reliable, honest information about AI tools.

Furthermore, all reviews and articles on NexTools are written and tested hands-on by our founding team. We don’t publish based on press releases or sponsored talking points.

In addition, every piece of content goes through an internal review before publishing to make sure it’s accurate, up to date, and genuinely useful to our readers.

We are independent. Therefore, no brand can pay to influence our ratings or editorial conclusions. If we have an affiliate relationship with a tool we cover, we disclose it clearly at the top of that article.

How we evaluate a tool

Every listing is assessed against the same criteria:

  • Capability — does it do the job it claims to do, at a quality worth paying for?
  • Ease of use — how long from signing up to a useful result?
  • Value — what you get relative to what it costs, including whether the free tier

    is genuinely usable.
  • Reliability — uptime, consistency of output, and how the tool behaves at its limits.
  • Transparency — clear pricing, clear data handling, no dark patterns on cancellation.

What our scores mean

  • 4.5 – 5.0 — Best in its category. We would use it ourselves.
  • 4.0 – 4.4 — Strong, with specific caveats we name on the page.
  • 3.0 – 3.9 — Works, but there is usually a better option unless you need its

    particular niche.
  • Below 3.0 — We would not recommend it at the current price.

A score is a summary of the criteria above, not a popularity measure, and it is not influenced by whether we have an affiliate relationship with the vendor. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Keeping listings current

AI tools change fast. We re-check pricing and core features on a rolling basis and update the page when something material changes. Where a page shows a “last updated” date, that is when it was last verified — not when it was first written.

Use of AI in our own content

We use AI tools to help draft and edit, but every
published page is reviewed, fact-checked and signed off by a human before it goes live.

Corrections

If a listing is wrong — outdated pricing, a feature we mis-described, a rating you think is unjustified — email bahy05sersa@gmail.com or use our contact form. We correct factual errors promptly and note substantive changes on the page.

Vendor relations

Vendors are welcome to send corrections and are treated the same as any other reader: we fix factual errors, and we do not change opinions or scores on request. We do not give vendors advance review of our coverage, and we do not accept payment for inclusion or for a better rating.
